JULY STYLE FOCUS: Sophie Khanh

1. How did your interest in fashion begin?

My interest in fashion began as a quiet form of self-expression. At first, I was drawn to visual details and aesthetics. Over time, I realized that fashion was a way for me to express myself without needing to say much.

2.How would you describe your style?

My style is minimal, clean and structured. I like pieces that are simple but striking - where the cut, fabric, or silhouette speaks for itself. I usually stick to neutral tones and dark palattes, and I’m drawn to things that feel timeless rather than trendy.

3. What inspires your outfits?

Oh, this one is tricky. Art, architecture, a lot of photography research, and even movies. I often look to minimalist design and classic tailoring, but I also like pieces with an unexpected detail or contrast. My mood plays a big role too. Some days I want to feel grounded and go for clean, structured looks; other days I’ll lean into something softer and more fluid.

 4. What does fashion mean to you?

A way to tell stories, to carry emotion, to shift energy. It’s not about dressing up; it’s about being in alignment with yourself. At its best, fashion is art we live in.
